Why should I fork out $20 a month??
Although you can get by with the free version, the added features that are included in the pro version will level up your content in ways you didn’t even know were possible.
Brand Kit
For small businesses, one of our favourite features is the Brand Kit. This feature allows you to select and store core brand assets such as colours, fonts and logos. The brand kit makes it easy to create cohesive designs that fit your brand guidelines without having to remember the colour code numbers and what your font is called….
Background Remover
Being able to remove the background of a photo is super convenient and saves you the hassle of using third-party applications or messing around with photoshop. We use it all the time to ‘cut around’ products and pop them on a cool video background.
Resize Tool
This feature is a game changer. It lets you change the size of your design with the click of a button. So instead of creating 5 different designs from scratch for a poster, Facebook post, Instagram post, story etc etc – you just hit resize and BOOM – it resizes everything for you in the new template (you still might have to fiddle a bit to make it look good, but at least all the hard work is already done).
It’s also EXTREMELY handy when Instagram keeps changing their grid size as often as they change their undies. This is reeeeeally frustrating but all your designs can be easily updated to the new size within seconds with Pro!! 🌟
Video Editing
Not only is Canva Pro great for editing pictures but it also has features to easily edit video content. Create videos for Instagram Reels or TikTok all in one handy place.
More storage
The free version of Canva has limited storage space, and it can be a nuisance trying to delete old designs or folders to make room for new ones. The pro version solves this problem by offering WAY MORE storage and giving you an unlimited number of folders. 🤯
